We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Intern based in our Head Office in Southall

Working for Urban Eat, the UK’s No. 1 sandwich brand, you will have the opportunity to work as part of the Marketing Team as a Marketing Assistant for a one year internship. You will be reporting into the Brand Manager, assisting them in growing the brand into a household name

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to break into a marketing career and get some real hands on experience. The internship is open for 12 months starting in July 2017, and is a paid role from our offices in Southall, London. There will be some travel between our different sites and you may be required to visit customers, attend trade shows/events and sales team meetings.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Managing and engaging with our customers across the social media spectrum, ensuring that our message is consistent and on brand
  • Working with the sales team to promote the brand at shows and events up and down the country, gaining valuable experience in event marketing
  • Liaising with our external PR, digital, promotional and creative marketing agencies, ensuring they are kept up to date with all of our exciting new products and developments
  • Helping to organise and promote our competitions and promotions; making sure all marketing materials and product images are up to date online and offline
  • Managing mini projects ranging from small trade shows through to briefing bespoke POS for customers
  • Proactively spend time with agencies and sales managers
  • Managing all web based customer enquiries, channeling each query on to the relevant department/responding to the customer where necessary
  • Assisting with the procurement of point of sale, product literature and other materials, managing stocks and arranging delivery as appropriate
  • Providing merchandising support for customers/outlets
  • Other office admin duties such as purchase orders requests, logging customer enquiries and updating budgets

The ideal candidate

  • Have a passion for marketing
  • A good knowledge of new and emerging social media platforms would be beneficial
  • Be proactive and resilient whilst maintaining an adaptive approach
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (both Written and verbal)
  • Ambitious, hungry and driven approach to their work
  • Be committed, motivated and passionate about our people and our company
  • A keen interest in food & a full UK driving license would be advantageous
